Fallen Heroes Ride Update

April 18th, 2011 General

Jittery Joe’s is very thankful to be a part of such an incredible community.
As a co-organizer, launching pad, and contributor to the Fallen Heroes Ride on April 3rd, Jittery Joe’s witnessed the immense support and unity for an important cause: to raise money for the families of the ACCPD officers (Elmer “Buddy” Christian and Tony Howard).

The fundraiser ride was a positive way to have members of the community come together and show their support not only for the ACCPD, but also for the Athens community as a whole.

Over 120 riders participated and raised more than $4,000 for the families of Christian and Howard. We’d like to give a big thank-you to both Ken Sherman of Athens GA Bicycling and Heather McElroy of Prudential Blanton Properties for their hard work, quick action and dedication that helped make this event a success.

At Jittery Joe’s, we believe we’re all in this together. And we take great pride in being a part of the community and family of Athens, Georgia. Thanks to everyone that came out, gave money or helped in any way. If you missed the event visit buddychristiantrust.com for more information and details about upcoming fundraising events.

Coffee Madness: Find Your College or University Today!

April 1st, 2011 General

Coffee Madness! The name tells all. Coffee Madness works just like other March mania programs, if your college or university wins its match up, your school advances to the next round. But instead of winning a sporting event, your school wins by having the most coffee sold and raising those much needed funds.

Here at Jittery Joe’s, we are proud to roast UGA’s Bulldog Blend Coffee. For every 12 oz. can or 2 oz. “tailgate” pack sold, UGA and the UGA Alumni Association will receive over 40% of the proceeds to support their student scholarships and/or general initiatives.

Support the DAWGS and be sure to be part of Coffee Madness. All collegiate coffee purchases thru April 5th will enhance UGA’s chances of winning the hottest coffee tournament around!

Take part in Coffee Madness and support UGA BULLDOG BLEND.

Update Monday, April 4th: UGA BULLDOG BLEND has made it to the final match up! Support the DAWGS in Coffee Madness

High Road Craft Ice Cream Introduces Two Flavors with Jittery Joe’s Coffee

March 9th, 2011 General

High Road Craft Ice Cream and Sorbet has introduced two coffee concoctions to their list of High Road flavors. The best part is that High Road Craft uses organic and locally grown ingredients.

The Caffeine & Cacao is the perfect pick me up or delicious treat for pretty much anyone with a spoon. Caffeine & Cacao contains a Belgian chocolate ganache, swirled into our “Joe mix” with toasted cacao nibs. Chocolaty coffee to rich perfection. Who wouldn’t want a little piece of this heaven?

If you are more traditional in taste, then you will love the straight-forward High Road Joe. This is High Roads version of coffee ice cream. This traditional flavor steeps whole beans from Jittery Joe’s in into a sweet cream mix for 24 hours. They strain and spin and voila – a perfect latte.

So when the summer heat hits and you need your Jittey Joe’s fix, try the Caffeine & Cacao or the High Road Joe ice cream to keep you cool. Which will you choose? For more information about the unique flavors that High Road Craft has available visit: highroadcraft.com

A Little Water Can Go a Long Way

At Jittery Joe’s, we like good people. And we especially like to work with them.

“Saving lives, one bottle at a time!” sounds like a pretty sweet deal, doesn’t it? Well, with Masada water, our water vendor, we’re doing just that. With our purchase orders, Masada water is forwarding 90% to aid in projects to heal suffering both around the world and in our little town of Athens, Georgia too.

Check out these pictures and see what’s being accomplished through the recent collaboration with Women to the World, an organization “rescuing women and children from poverty, dependency and abuse since 1985.”

So, drink up! A little water can go a long way.
